We welcome the Taoiseach’s announcement on Tuesday that Covid-19 restrictions will be rolled back gradually between now and October 22nd. This is a positive sign of the progress made against the virus. The full details are not yet clear, but we do know:
– From 6th Sept, capacity in church services will be 50% rather than being limited to 50 people.
– Confirmations can go ahead, which is great news.
– Face masks and social distancing are still required at present.
We’re waiting to hear about other details, especially when we will be able to sing again…
Meanwhile, the Archbishops continue to encourage all members of the Church of Ireland to avail of Covid-19 vaccination and to seek advice from the HSE and health professionals if they have any questions.
